Imagine, next month we will be halfway through the year.
What changes have you focused on to improve your way of life or promises you’ve made to — to yourself — take better care of YOURSELF. Yeah, I haven’t done much of that either. But it’s never too late to start. I recently read a quote that said, “Stop being afraid of what can go wrong. Start being excited about what can go right.”

I’ve always been one to make decisions on impulse and always have taken risks. To be honest, most of the time, it has played out in my favor. The times when it hasn’t, it was a much-valued lesson learned.
At this point in my life, I’ve decided to embrace who I am. Losing that 10-20-30 extra pounds will not make me love myself any more today than I did yesterday or tomorrow. And for God’s sake, I needed to stop reminding people of how fat I am because 1) I think they can see the obvious for themselves without the constant reminder; and 2) chose to love and embrace ALL of me for who I am – fat, wide, chunky and all the things in between. The only thing we are doing is lowering our self-esteem and kicking our own ass by criticizing what we have defined as our shortcomings and flaws. As a society, we must stop being so critical and buying into the norms that society has created. If we don’t, we’ll never be good enough…not even for our own self-worth. By no means am I saying don’t try, but I am saying, do not allow it to define who you are, who you want to be, or who you become.
There are plenty of things we can do to make us full circle. Things that make us feel good about being human...make us happy! Give yourself that facial, go for that massage, buy those shoes, splurge on that vacation, be done with those situations that are draining…why? Because you deserve it. So what if it doesn’t work out how you thought it would…what if it turns out BETTER? You are always one decision from something totally different. Sometimes change is good! It's the simple things in life that make the biggest impact.
